Kristin, or rural squirrel as she’s called on social media, is a full-time reseller and part-time traveler picking, digging, and thrifting in bins all over the country. She is a mother of four girls and now a Gigi to five! She’s been married for 30+ years to an amazing, hard-working guy who was her high school sweetheart. They moved to Colorado nearly 10 years ago and have lived in several states before landing here. She grew up in Central Illinois and has been a thrifty person all her life. She likes finding secondhand things, hand-me-downs, heirlooms, and recycled items that still have lots of good use - either for her, her family, or for someone else. In her life she has waited tables, worked in a mortgage company, been a teacher’s aide, owned a craft mall, been a leasing agent, the education coordinator for a large retailer, and now, she’s a full-time reseller on eBay and makes YouTube videos about her thrift travels all across the country. She absolutely loves her job and is so grateful that being thrifty is finally paying off!
